Chinese Enterprises Supporting Denmark's Clean Energy Development

Entering Denmark's Bamosen Solar Photovoltaic Park, rows of solar panels reflect the blue sky and white clouds, forming a beautiful picture with colorful cottages in the field.

Bamosen Solar Photovoltaic Park is located in the town of Vordingborg, southern Zealand, Denmark, and is an important solar power generation project in the country. It is jointly built by China-invested enterprise and local European partners. Currently, the construction of the park has entered its final stages. Site Manager Mustafa introduced to reporters that the park was built on a dried-up and abandoned lakebed, covering an area of approximately 123 hectares, equivalent to 250 football fields, with a designed power generation capacity of 137.3 megawatts.

Pointing to the hundreds of meters of solar panels, Mustafa said to reporters, "These solar panels are all supplied by Chinese companies. China has the world's largest photovoltaic industry and the best photovoltaic products. 'Made in China' is not only of high quality but also has excellent energy efficiency. All the solar panels used in the park are 'Made in China'."

It is reported that the project uses photovoltaic modules with a rated capacity of 540 watts. Each module contains two solar panels, and each solar panel is made up of thousands of small solar cell modules. According to local environmental conditions, the solar panels are arranged in an east-west direction to fully absorb sunlight from early morning until evening, ensuring continuous power supply.

The construction period of the project was originally scheduled for one year. However, with the joint efforts of Chinese builders and more than 100 engineering and construction personnel from Turkey, Poland, Denmark, and other countries, the construction task was completed ahead of schedule in just 8 months.

Mustafa was deeply impressed by the dedication of the Chinese team. "During the cooperation, no matter what problems we encountered, Chinese enterprises could promptly send professional technicians to negotiate and resolve them together." For example, when Denmark had strict safety regulations for construction, the Chinese team carefully studied the relevant rules and flexibly adjusted their plans, customizing solar panel component installation tools that meet Denmark's safety standards.

It is estimated that after the completion and operation of Bamosen Solar Photovoltaic Park, it will produce approximately 128 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, which can supply green power to 38,000 Danish households. The park will also have a significant climate benefit, reducing approximately 106,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year, accounting for about 2% of the total carbon dioxide emissions in Vordingborg.

Data from the Danish Energy Agency shows that as of the end of March this year, Denmark's cumulative photovoltaic installed capacity has reached 3.2 gigawatts, with an additional capacity of 236 megawatts in the first quarter. Solar energy plays a crucial role as a renewable energy source in Denmark's efforts to achieve its goal of 100% renewable energy generation by 2030, and the government plans to build more solar photovoltaic parks. Mustafa expressed confidence that China's advantages in new energy development will further support Denmark and other European countries' green transformation, jointly realizing sustainable development.
